Our Facility
The Mt. Hood Cultural Center and
Museum is housed in a beautiful structure in the
heart of Government Camp. Located along the
ruts of the historic Barlow Road, the building
site offers a wonderful view of Mt. Hood. The
building is a work in progress as we convert
the former Bed and Breakfast into a facility to
accommodate the museum exhibits and cultural
center functions. The museum consists of six
galleries plus a meeting/multipurpose
room.
Mountain Art Gallery:
This gallery
features fine arts from the museum collection
as well as current works from local artist or
artwork produced in our classes. A nice
selection of local art work is for sale with
profits used to support the center and
museum.
Mt. Hood Gallery:
Learn about the
unique natural history associated with an
active volcano. Orient yourself on the three
dimensional interactive mountain
model.
