Mt Hood Heritage Day - September 18. - Mark this date, and plan to attend this annual celebration of Mt Hood's outdoor recreation heritage. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl will host the event at the Ski Bowl this year. A full afternoon and evening of activities, in Government Camp. The museum will have a special opening of the Hal Lidell and Friends Black and White Photograph Show and other activities that day. The day will culminate with a silent and oral auction gala. Ski The Historic Glade Trail Day - March 5, 2011 - Annually on the first Saturday of March, by special permit from the Mt. Hood National Forest , the Glade Trail is opened and groomed for this living history event. This full day event is a chance to experience a historical way of skiing on Mt. Hood . Skiers are shuttled to Timberline Lodge by bus, escorted down the 3.0 mile trail to Government Camp by local guides and the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol. Lunch, Apre’s ski party and prizes are included in this unique fundraiser. Participation is limited. Event tickets are $100.00 per person.

Steiner Cabins Tour 2011 - August 13, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Annual tour of handcrafted, 1920-40's vintage log cabins. Drive on a self-guide tour to cabins in Rhododendron, Zigzag and Brightwood. Tickets are $15 for Mt. Hood Museum members, or $18 for non-members. Purchase will call ticket by calling the museum office at 503-272-3301. Pickup tickets and tour map at Mt. Hood Foods, in Rhododendron, Oregon, on the day of the tour.

Blacksmith Week 2011 - August 17 - 21, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm - Join Blacksmiths from all over the region for demonstrations of the craft. Hand forged items will be for sale. Demonstrations will take place at the Arts Cabins, the Museum and at Timberline Lodge.

Raven Art, Show and Sale 2011 - August 17 - 21, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Using the antics of Government Camp's unofficial mascot, artist and crafters, using various media have created a unique art show and sale. Location of the show is dependent on the stages of elevator construction at the museum. Stop at the museum to check the exact location in Government Camp for this show and sale.

Arts Cabins - The Arts Cabins offers art and craft instruction in an inspiring setting. General studio space is available for rent. Housed in two former Forest Service cabins, near Government Camp, special studios for blacksmithing and glass work have been installed.
